Cape Town - Seven people, including two children, died when a minibus collided with a car carrier near Touwsriver, in the Western Cape, on Saturday morning, SABC reported.
Another nine people were injured when the minibus slammed into the back of the car carrier, which was stopped at the side of the N1 so the driver could secure one of the cars.
The minibus had been on its way from Cape Town to Beaufort-West, emergency services spokesperson Shaheem de Vries told the broadcaster.
